A Time for Everything

🕰️ A Time for Everything – And All Time in God's Hands

As electricians, our days are measured in minutes and tasks — wiring up a DB board, fixing a fault, rushing to the next site. Every moment feels urgent, and time often seems too short. But what if we reminded ourselves that time is not just a resource to manage — it’s a gift from God?

⚡ Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV) says:

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

This scripture reminds us that life isn’t meant to be lived at one speed. There is a time to work — where we give our best on-site. There’s a time to rest — where we step back, recharge, and protect our health. There’s a time to grow in skill, in faith, in relationships. A time to mourn, and a time to laugh.

Yes, even a time to be silly with your kids, a time to worship, a time to cry, and a time to build up what was broken.

But in the hustle, here’s the big question:
👉 How are you dividing your time?

🛠️ As electricians, how do we manage time God's way?

  • Work Diligently – Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
When it’s work time — give it your full focus. Avoid wasting time on distractions. Serve your clients with integrity.

  • Rest Intentionally – God Himself rested on the 7th day. So should we. Rest isn’t laziness — it’s worship when we trust Him enough to stop.

  • Grow Purposefully – Invest time in your spiritual growth. Attend church. Read His Word. Join that Bible study group you keep putting off. Your tools need sharpening — so does your soul.

  • Be Present with Family – Don’t sacrifice family time on the altar of overtime. Your spouse, your children, your friends — they need time too.

  • Worship Faithfully – Give God the first of your time, not the leftovers. Start your day with prayer. Involve Him in your schedule.

🔌 The Spiritual Plug-In

We all get 24 hours a day. The difference between burnout and balance is how we spend it. Don't try to control time — surrender it. Because ultimately, all time belongs to God.

Psalm 31:15 – “My times are in your hands.”

So today, ask yourself:
“Am I living in rhythm with God’s timing, or rushing to my own beat?”

Because when you live in His timing, there’s peace. There's purpose. There's power.
