A Time for Everything

A Time for Everything – Starting 2026 with Balance and Purpose

As we step into 2026, this first Monday Inspiration is not about rushing, proving, or pushing harder than everyone else.
It’s about understanding seasons — and learning to live wisely within them.

The Bible reminds us of a powerful truth:

“To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1

A Time to Work

As electricians, we understand time better than most.
We work to deadlines. We respond to call-outs. We solve problems when the lights go out.

Work is not a curse — it is a calling.
God placed Adam in the garden to work it and take care of it. Your hands, your skills, your trade matter. When you work with integrity, excellence, and responsibility, you honour God and serve people well.

But here’s the warning:
Work must never become your identity.

A Time to Rest

Even God rested.

Not because He was tired — but because rest is part of design, not weakness.

Rest resets your body, sharpens your mind, and protects your spirit. An electrician who never rests becomes careless, frustrated, and eventually burned out. Rest is not laziness; it is maintenance.

If you don’t schedule rest, your body will schedule breakdown.

A Time to Play and Enjoy Life

There is also a time to laugh, to enjoy family, to sit around a fire, to watch rugby, to breathe.

Joy keeps you human.
Play reminds you that life is more than pressure and responsibility.

Scripture says:

“There is nothing better than that a man should rejoice in his work, for that is his reward.”
Ecclesiastes 3:22

God is not glorified by exhausted, joyless people. He is glorified by whole people.

Why Balance Matters

When balance is lost:

  • Work suffers

  • Families suffer

  • Faith suffers

When balance is restored:

  • Focus improves

  • Safety improves

  • Relationships strengthen

A disciplined electrician knows when to switch on — and when to switch off.

A Thought for 2026

As this year begins, ask yourself honestly:

  • Am I working when I should be resting?

  • Am I resting when I should be working?

  • Am I present where I am, or always distracted?

Balance is not about doing less —
it’s about doing the right thing at the right time.

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12

Monday Encouragement

This year, choose wisdom over rush.
Choose balance over burnout.
Choose faith over fear.

There is a time for everything — and when you live in step with God’s timing, your work, rest, and life will all carry greater purpose.

Have a blessed and focused start to 2026.
