"Be Still and Be Led"

"Be Still and Be Led"
Letting the Spirit Guide Us in a World That Won’t Slow Down

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”
John 14:26

In today’s world — fast, loud, and full of pressure — we often move at a speed that leaves no room for God’s voice. We make decisions on the go, rush through our days, and try to handle everything in our own strength. But what if we paused… just for a moment?

Jesus promised us a Helper. The Holy Spirit isn't just a concept — He's a real presence, available to guide us every single day. We just have to stop, be still, and invite Him in.

🔌 Here’s how the Holy Spirit can help you in your everyday life as an electrician:

  • Decision-Making on a Job Site:
You’re unsure how to solve a tricky fault or wire a complex DB board. Before diving in, take 10 seconds and ask, “Holy Spirit, give me clarity.” Suddenly, you remember something you read, or a new idea pops into your mind.

  • Staying Calm Under Pressure:
A client is upset, or a deadline is tight. Instead of reacting in frustration, you stop and whisper, “Lead me, Lord.” Peace floods in, and you respond with wisdom and patience — turning the whole situation around.

  • Knowing When to Speak and When to Be Silent:
Maybe someone is gossiping, or a team member is stirring conflict. The Spirit can nudge you: “Don’t get involved.” Or, “Encourage him instead.” And just like that, you become a peacemaker.

  • Resisting Temptation:
The temptation to cut corners or compromise on safety is real. But the Spirit gives you strength and conviction: “Do it the right way. I’ll honour your integrity.”

💭 It starts with a moment. A pause. A prayer.

God doesn’t demand hours of your time. Sometimes all it takes is a few seconds of stillness for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully. Let’s not be electricians running on empty. Let’s be men and women led by the Spirit — filled with wisdom, peace, and purpose.

🛠️ This week, wherever you go, whatever you face — remember: You’re not alone. Your Helper is ready.

Be still. Ask. Listen. Then move.
