Kindness, Forgiveness, and Acceptance in the Electrician’s World

“Wired for Grace: Kindness, Forgiveness, and Acceptance in the Electrician’s World”
Scripture focus: Ephesians 4:32 –
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

In the world of circuits, currents, and compliance, electricians are trained to measure everything precisely. Voltage, resistance, continuity — all must be perfect. But what about the things that aren’t measurable by a tester? Things like kindness, forgiveness, and acceptance?

1. Kindness – The Conduit of Grace

Just as copper carries current with low resistance, kindness carries grace into the lives of others. A kind word on a job site, a moment of patience with an apprentice, or helping a client understand the work you're doing — these small acts spark much bigger impacts.

Proverbs 11:17 says, “Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.”
In your daily work, let kindness be the current that flows from you to others, lighting up dark places.

2. Forgiveness – Resetting the Breaker

Mistakes happen — a misplaced wire, a wrong assumption, an angry word. In the same way a tripped breaker protects a system from overload, forgiveness resets the flow. Holding onto resentment short-circuits your peace.
Colossians 3:13 reminds us: “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

In the field or in your family, offer forgiveness quickly. Don’t let yesterday’s faults become today’s faults too.

3. Acceptance – Completing the Circuit

Every installation needs a complete circuit to function. Likewise, we all need a sense of belonging and acceptance to thrive. Whether it's accepting a colleague's background, a client’s frustrations, or even your own imperfections — this is what keeps the “human circuit” alive.

Romans 15:7 says, “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”

When we accept each other, we give God glory. In your workshop, at the site, or in the office, let acceptance be your grounding wire — keeping everything safe and whole.

Final Word:
In a world that can sometimes be as harsh as a thunderstorm, you have the power to be the calm, the light, and the connection. Let kindness, forgiveness, and acceptance be the spiritual tools in your belt. They might not show up on a multimeter, but they will be seen in the lives you touch.

Stay grounded. Stay humble. Stay connected.
