The Tester in Your Hand, The Word in Your Heart
🔧 The Tester in Your Hand, The Word in Your Heart
Every electrician knows this truth: your tester is one of the most important tools in your toolbox.
Before you sign a Certificate of Compliance, before you leave a site, before you trust that installation… you test.
You check:
-
Is the earth correct?
-
Is the voltage stable?
-
Is the polarity right?
-
Is the installation safe for the people who will use it?
Without your tester, you are working blind.
A professional electrician never just assumes an installation is safe.
He tests it.
And in the same way, God has given us a tester for our lives.
đź“– Hebrews 4:12
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
The Word of God tests us.
Just like your electrical tester reveals hidden faults, the Word of God reveals things in our lives we might not even see ourselves.
Sometimes it confirms that we are on the right track.
Sometimes it reveals something that needs correction.
⚡ 1. A Tester Confirms Safety
Before energizing an installation, you test to make sure everything is safe.
đź“– Psalm 119:105
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
God’s Word confirms that we are walking on the right path.
When the world becomes confusing and pressure in the industry increases, the Word becomes the instrument that shows us where we stand.
⚡ 2. A Tester Identifies Faults
Sometimes you test an installation and discover a problem:
-
loose connection
-
faulty earth
-
incorrect polarity
-
insulation failure
Your tester doesn't lie — it reveals the truth.
đź“– 2 Timothy 3:16
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness."
The Bible works the same way.
It shows us where something in our lives may need adjustment.
Not to condemn us — but to protect us, just like fixing a dangerous fault protects the homeowner.
⚡ 3. A Good Electrician Trusts His Tester
An experienced electrician trusts his instruments.
He doesn't ignore the reading because he "feels" it should be fine.
He follows the truth of the measurement.
đź“– James 1:22
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
The Word of God is our spiritual measurement tool.
Not just something we read — something we apply.
🔩 Final Thought for This Week
Electricians carry testers in their tool bags.
But as believers, we must carry God’s Word in our hearts.
When life becomes complicated…
When pressure builds…
When decisions become difficult…
Take out your Tester.
đź“– Open the Word.
Let it confirm you are safe.
Let it reveal what needs fixing.
Let it guide your next move.
Because just like a professional electrician would never work without a tester…
A wise man never walks through life without the Word of God.
🙏 Stay sharp this week. Test everything. Walk in the Truth.
