“When the Plans Don’t Make Sense”
⚡️ “When the Plans Don’t Make Sense” – A Message for Electricians
Jeremiah 29:11
There are days in the electrical industry where nothing goes according to plan.
The job you quoted suddenly changes.
A fault refuses to reveal itself.
A client delays payment.
Opportunities seem to pass you by.
And in those moments, it’s easy to feel like you’re just working… surviving… pushing through without direction.
But then comes this powerful reminder from God’s Word:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
🔧 The Electrician’s Reality
As electricians, we understand something important:
👉 Not everything is visible at first glance.
When you open a DB board, you don’t immediately see every problem.
You test.
You trace.
You trust your training and experience.
Sometimes the issue is hidden deep within the system.
Life works the same way.
God sees the full installation of your life —
the parts you can see… and the parts you cannot.
💡 God’s Plan vs Our Plan
We often approach life like a wiring job with a clear layout:
- “By this age, I should have my license.”
- “By now, my business should be thriving.”
- “This opportunity should have worked out.”
But what happens when the “installation” doesn’t follow your expected route?
👉 God is not working off your diagram — He’s working off His perfect design.
And just like in electrical work:
- A reroute is sometimes necessary
- A delay can prevent a bigger failure
- A hidden fault must be exposed before power can flow safely
⚠️ Delays Are Not Denials
One of the biggest struggles in our industry is waiting.
Waiting for:
- Results (SOR, DOL registration)
- Payments
- Opportunities
- Growth
But Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us:
👉 There is a plan — even in the waiting.
Just because you don’t see progress, doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
Behind the scenes, God is:
- Positioning you
- Preparing you
- Protecting you
🔌 Trust the Master Electrician
Think about this…
You wouldn’t let an unqualified person wire a building.
Why? Because they don’t understand the full system.
Yet sometimes we question God —
the One who designed the entire “system” of our lives.
👉 God is the Master Electrician.
He knows:
- Where connections must be made
- Where protection is needed
- Where upgrades are required
- Where faults must be corrected
And most importantly…
👉 He knows the final outcome.
🔥 Your Work Matters — Even When No One Sees It
Many electricians spend hours doing work that will never be seen:
- Perfect terminations inside a DB
- Neatly run conduits behind walls
- Careful testing and verification
No applause. No recognition.
But it matters.
In the same way:
👉 God sees your effort, your integrity, and your perseverance.
Even when:
- Clients don’t appreciate it
- Work feels repetitive
- Progress feels slow
🙏 Final Encouragement
If you’re feeling stuck, discouraged, or uncertain today — remember this:
- Your journey is not random
- Your struggles are not wasted
- Your future is not forgotten
God has a plan.
And just like a well-installed system…
everything will come together in the right time.
⚡️ This Week’s Challenge
When things don’t go your way this week:
👉 Pause and remind yourself:
“God knows the plan — I will trust Him.”
