When the Storm Comes

When the Storm Comes

๐ŸŒง๏ธ When the Storm Comes

Across South Africa โ€” and in many places around the world โ€” we are seeing powerful storms. Flooding roads. Strong winds. Snowfall. Landslides. Entire communities disrupted overnight.

As electricians, we understand something important about storms:
They reveal weaknesses.
They test foundations.
They expose what was properly preparedโ€ฆ and what was not.

Life works the same way.

Some of you reading this today may not only be facing storms outside your homes, but storms inside your life:

  • Financial pressure ๐Ÿ’ธ
  • Business struggles ๐Ÿ“‰
  • Family problems ๐Ÿ’”
  • Exhaustion ๐Ÿ˜”
  • Fear about the future
  • Spiritual battles โš”๏ธ

Storm seasons come to all of us.
But the difference is not whether storms come โ€” the difference is what we are built on.

Jesus warned us that life would contain challenges. In John 10:10 He said:

โ€œThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.โ€

The enemy wants storms to steal your peace.
To destroy your hope.
To convince you that God has forgotten you.

But God never promised that we would never face storms.
He promised that He would be with us through them. ๐Ÿ™

As electricians, we know the importance of preparation. Before dangerous weather arrives, we secure systems, check protection, prepare equipment, and make sure everything is ready. Why? Because preparation matters.

The same is true spiritually.

Ephesians 6 speaks about putting on the full Armour of God:

  • The belt of truth
  • The breastplate of righteousness
  • The shield of faith
  • The helmet of salvation
  • The sword of the Spirit

You cannot wait for the storm to start before preparing yourself spiritually.

Prayer is preparation.
Faith is preparation.
Reading Godโ€™s Word is preparation.
Walking with God daily is preparation.

And then comes the second lesson:

๐ŸŒŠ When you are already inside the stormโ€ฆ keep pushing forward.

Some storms feel endless.
Some seasons feel heavier than others.
Sometimes you pray and still the winds blow.

But remember this:
A storm is a season โ€” not your final destination.

The same God who calmed the sea can calm your situation.
The same God who carried Peter on the water can carry you through this week.
The same God who brought light into darkness can guide you through uncertainty.

As electricians, we restore power when darkness strikes. โšก
And as children of God, we are also called to carry His light into a dark world.

So this Monday morning:

  • Stay prepared spiritually ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
  • Keep believing ๐Ÿ™Œ
  • Keep working faithfully โš’๏ธ
  • Keep praying ๐Ÿ™
  • Keep pushing through ๐ŸŒ…

Because after every stormโ€ฆ the sun rises again.

Have a blessed and safe week ahead, electricians.
Stay strong. Stay grounded. Stay connected to the One who controls the storm. โšก๐ŸŒง๏ธ
